ITRC is actively engaged in promoting goodwill and harmony through Sports, Cultural and Entertainment.

Being the cultural face of the I-T Dept, ITRC is the most popular unit in Tamil Nadu which spreads the message of universal brotherhood and sense of fraternity. It inculcates the feeling that we belong to one Income Tax Family.

IT Dept TN&P is proud of having eminent sports persons in different games such as Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabbadi, Cricket etc., and  athletic events like 100m / 200m Running, hurdles, and indoor games like Table Tennis and Carrom. There are National and International players who keep bringing laurels to our country. Our members have done exceedingly well in Lawn Tennis, Pole Vault, Bodybuilding, Chess, and Contract Bridge.

Besides, ITRC has been doing social service by distributing relief material during natural calamities and COVID pandemic. It has also organised awareness programmes for the Women’s Day.

Through its ‘Tamil Mandram’ (Forum for Tamil), periodical meetings are being conducted to enthuse interest in Tamil Literature.
